The Game Awards 2021: start times, how to watch and more

Held in an empty studio last year, The Game Awards 2021 will kick off again in front of a live audience. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the annual gaming industry event will spawn from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, bringing with it last year’s game awards and announcements of what’s next.

The Game Awards and Keighley himself will be hinting at what will be at this year’s event via their social media accounts. As of now, hosts such as star Simu Liu and former president of Nintendo Reggie Fils-Aime have been confirmed for the event, and have hinted at live performances by Imagine Dragons and music legends Sting.

Game Awards 2021 start time

The official live broadcast of The Game Awards 2021 will take place on December 10 at 3:30 Moscow time. Winners will be announced in over 30 gaming and esports categories, including Game of the Year, Best Direction, Esports Team of the Year and Esports Player of the Year. The event will also feature announcements for “40 to 50 games,” according to Epic Games’ interview with Keighley, with the number of new games announced “likely to be in double digits.” The only game already pointed to is The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum from Daedalic Entertainment.
