The new Nest Audio smart speaker has been introduced by Google today. The speaker that Google showed a while ago, you know. The Nest Audio is intended to replace the initial Google Home speaker that was released in 2016.
Compared to a space freshener, the new Nest Audio sounds much better than the current Google Home that most people have. You can have it in one of five colours: Sage, Sand, Sky, Charcoal, and Chalk.
This one comes totally wrapped in fabric. By the way, Sage and Sky are my personal favourites outside of the lineup.
For bright highs and deeper bass, the speaker comes with a 19mm tweeter, and a 75mm mid-woofer. In fact, Google claims that the new Nest Audio is 75 percent louder than Google Home and has a bass response that is 50 percent better than its older sibling.
The Nest Audio can also be combined with other speakers, as planned, to create stereo setups or even multi-room audio settings, just like with Sonos speakers.
Obviously, the smarts of the speaker are driven by Google Assistant, and there is nothing new there. It does the same stuff that Google Home does, or the new Nest Mini does. You might ask him to play music, tell you the weather, or go to work, among a bunch of other things. You remember, everything that the older Google Home can do, too. When doing so, it just looks nicer.
