Xiaomi at the end of the summer of 2010 introduced the MIUI firmware. Almost 13 years later, the number of active users exceeded 600 million people per month.
What is known
The audience growth rate has slowed down a bit. In January 2021, Xiaomi reported 400 million monthly active users, and the milestone of 500 million was overcome by the end of autumn of the same year. It took about a year and a half to increase the audience by another 100 million users.
Currently, the latest version of the software is MIUI 14. It was introduced at the end of last year. The firmware is based on the Android 12 or Android 13 operating system, depending on the model.
At the end of 2023, Xiaomi should present the MIUI 15 shell. It is assumed that the new firmware will be announced along with the flagship smartphones of the Xiaomi 14 family.
