This smartphone will always have a place in my heart, I probably wouldn’t be writing these lines if it wasn’t for it.

Back to the past: this was the mobile that made me love Android
The front of the Motorola Moto G 2013.

The motorola motog original came into my hands back in the year 2014 and I can say without fear that it was a before and after. It was not my first Android smartphone, but it was the one that made me fall in love with the operating system of Google.

In those days it was still worn rootbecoming “excessive use” to fully customize the devices. CyanogenMod it became your faithful ally and allowed you to play with almost any smartphone to give it a new life. Technology has advanced a lot since then, Android is much more mature and it almost seems necessary to risk “touching” your mobile in this way.

Android was about to reach its version 4.4 KitKat and I remember looking forward to it, I wanted to see how my new motorola mutated with good additions. This Moto G was talked about as a game media great value for money and like many others I couldn’t resist. I don’t know for sure how long I used it, but I do know that I keep a very good memory. The Moto G was the start.

How was the Motorola Moto G?

Although the trend seems to have stopped, mobile phones have grown a lot in recent years. Motorola’s smartphone had a 4.5-inch screen that today would seem tinyalso with an HD resolution difficult to find today beyond the input range. The use of the front did not go very far either, but its design had a lot of personality and had interchangeable covers.

Inside it lived one of the processors of Qualcommthat has not changed. We talk about snapdragon 400a chip with four cores that move at 1.2 GHz. It was not a wonder, but I remember that this Moto G moved well and offered a good user experience. I have to say that my previous device had been a Huawei Y100, so maybe it was quite easy to be content…

Of course, forget about multiple cameras. Motorola’s smartphone incorporated a single 5-megapixel camera that could take, well, decent pictures. It wasn’t a show for the time, but it did the trick. Its front camera, on the other hand, stayed at a paltry 1.3 megapixels.

The Motorola mobile arrived with Android 4.3 In a very pure way, only a few additions from the company modified the appearance of the creation of Google. Despite being a mid-range, it performed quite well and as I said before, it didn’t take long to upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat.

Things have changed a lot since then, but the Motorola Moto G will always have a place in my heart. I probably wouldn’t be writing these lines if I didn’t have it, since it sparked my interest in the Android operating system and led me to read media like Andro4all, which I work on every day today.
