WhatsApp mobile apps launch a long-awaited function thanks to which you will be able to chat with unknown numbers without having to save them in your contact list.
In recent times, WhatsApp has been updating its applications with the features that were most in demand by users of the instant messaging platform as a real multi-device mode that allows you to use your account on two mobiles at the same time, new privacy options to keep your data safe either sending high resolution photos and videos.
Well now, as they tell us from WABetaInfothe messaging service owned by Meta has just updated its mobile applications with a function that solves one of the biggest nuisances of the platform, since, finally, it is possible to chat with unknown numbers without having to save them.
You can now chat with strangers through WhatsApp without saving their number in your contacts
WhatsApp recently announced a new feature that allows you to start a chat with a stranger simply looking for your phone number within the platform and now this news is already available both in the app Android like in iOS.
This change implemented by WhatsApp solves one of the biggest inconveniences of the platform, since, until now, to be able to chat with a stranger you were forced to save their phone number in your contacts.
Thus, as you can see in the screenshot that we leave you under these lines, from now on to chat with a stranger through WhatsApp you simply have to click on the button to start a new chat which is located in the lower right corner of the app, click on the magnifying glass icon that appears in the upper right and write that person’s phone number.
Once you do this, WhatsApp will locate this user by their phone number and a tab for it will appear at the top of the app with a button on the right side called chat which is the one you must press to start talking to him.
Unlike other new features, this option to chat with strangers without saving their contact in your address book is not limited to Beta testers but rather is now available to all users of the stable versions of the iOS and Android apps.
If you see that this new WhatsApp feature still does not appear, access the Google Play Store or the App Store and check that you have updated the application to its latest version.
