DeLoreaon last year announced plans to launch Alpha5 electric vehicles that will resemble the legendary DMC-12 from the Back to the Future trilogy. Cars will appear, but in smaller numbers than originally thought.

In the 1980s, 9351 DMC-12s were sold. In this regard, DeLorean decided to release the same number of Alpha5 electric vehicles. However, it became known that the company is forced to reduce the lot size to 4,000 vehicles due to problems in the supply chain.
Serial production of the Alpha5 is scheduled for 2024. The cost of the electric car has not yet been specified, but in order to reserve a place in the queue, you need to pay $ 3,500. Moreover, the price will increase as the number of vacancies decreases.
