At the end of February 2023, the Danish studio IO Interactive – the creator of the Hitman and Kane & Lynch franchises – announced that it was working not only on a new James Bond game, but also on some ambitious role-playing game, codenamed Project Fantasy.
But it seems that these are not all the projects of the famous developer.
What is known
Documents provided by Microsoft during court hearings against the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) revealed information about yet another IO Interactive project.
According to the documents, a shooter with RPG elements – Project Dragon – is in development, which will (probably) become a Microsoft exclusive and will be released only on PC and Xbox.
Since the aforementioned Project Fantasy is not listed in the cited document, there is a possibility that Project Dragon and Project Fantasy are the same game. But with the same degree of probability – these are two different projects.
