Steadicopter has unveiled a helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle called the Golden Eagle. Do not confuse with the Korean aircraft FA-50. The drone can be used both for observation and reconnaissance, and for striking at enemy targets.
What is known
The manufacturer claims that the Golden Eagle is the first unmanned helicopter capable of delivering precision air strikes. It is based on the Black Eagle 50E reconnaissance drone, uses advanced artificial intelligence technologies and carries a combat load with remote control capability.
A VTOL drone can track and classify multiple targets at the same time. For this, Smartshooter SMASH Dragon technology is used, which uses computer vision algorithms.
Golden Eagle is equipped with machine guns, sniper rifles and can carry ammunition. The maximum takeoff weight is 50 kg. The electric motor allows speeds up to 126 km/h. The cruising speed is 85 km/h. During the flight, the drone can rise to a height of up to 5.5 km.
