In the near future, Samsung is going to update its line of mid-range smartphones, and among them will be the Galaxy A53. As stated on the Geekbench page, the new product will run on the new Exynos 1200 processor. We already have the results of testing the device in this benchmark. The numbers will disappoint you, but it’s worth noting that Geekbench did not test the final sample of the A53.

In a single-core test, the smartphone scored 690 points, and in a multi-core test – 1846 points. Compared to the expected device, the current Galaxy A52s with Snapdragon 778G chipset scores 770 and 2808 points, respectively. Hopefully, the Seoul will fix this issue on the finished smartphone and users will not suffer from poor performance.

In terms of specs, there will be 6GB of RAM, a Mali-G68 GPU and a 5,000mAh battery. The case will be IP68 certified, which will make it waterproof, and the screen will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which we consider one of the main features of the Galaxy A53.

The new generation of low-cost smartphones from the brand will be released in the first quarter of 2022. The exact date, of course, is unknown, but it will happen soon.
