The Armed Forces of Ukraine once again demonstrated the excellent accuracy of M982 Excalibur shells. With the help of two 155-mm ammunition, two Russian self-propelled howitzers 2S19 “Msta-S” (according to NATO classification – M1990 Farm) were destroyed.
What is known
2S19 “Msta-S” was developed 40 years ago by specialists from the Ural Transport Engineering Plant. In total, more than 700 self-propelled artillery mounts were produced, which entered service in 1989.

The howitzer is equipped with a 152 mm 2A64 cannon. The maximum firing range is almost 30 km. In addition to the cannon, the 2S19 Msta-S has one 12.7 mm heavy machine gun to deal with lightly armored targets.
The combat vehicle is equipped with a 780 horsepower engine. The power plant allows 2S19 “Msta-S” to reach a speed of 60 km / h on the highway. Fuel tanks with a capacity of 1300 liters provide a cruising range of 500 km.
