The future is here: Windows 11 brings AI to our daily lives
The new built-in AI assistant in Windows 11 makes your PC look like you’ve never seen it before.
Microsoft confirmed that the Windows 11 23H2 update, which includes Windows Copilot, will be released this fall. The Windows 11 23H2 update is a support package based on the previous version of Windows 11 22H2, so it can be considered not as a new version of the operating system, but as an enhancement of functionality.
Now Copilot is already available in preview mode, offering the user basic functions – dark mode, do not disturb mode, and others.
Windows Copilot, integrated into Windows along with Bing Chat and a number of third-party and native plugins, minimizes the user’s need to switch between different applications.
Copilot lives on the taskbar and its sidebar remains visible in apps, programs and windows as a permanent personal assistant. The feature aims to turn every user into a power user by offering assistance in performing actions, adjusting settings, and ensuring a seamless connection to your favorite apps.
Windows Copilot extends existing Windows features such as copy/paste, Snap Assist, scissors, and personalization. For example, you can ask Windows Copilot to copy, paste, rewrite, summarize, or explain content.
The ability to process a wide range of queries allows Windows Copilot to perform tasks ranging from checking local time to travel planning, including booking flights and hotels.
With the Bing and ChatGPT plugins integrated into Windows Copilot, users can access AI capabilities and features. In addition, developers will have new opportunities for interaction and innovation for their customers.
