Owing to delays in development, Apple was unable to launch the iPhone this year on its normal September timeline. The company instead introduced the new Apple Watch Series 6 and SE, and at that event, the iPad Air. Now, the company has begun to send out invites to another event, and this one is undoubtedly for the latest iPhone 12 series.
The invitation sets the iPhone 12 launch date at 10 am PDT on October 13 (that’s 10:30pm on October 13 for all of us in India).
We already know that four new iPhones will be released this year by Apple, including a 5.4-inch iPhone that is rumoured to be called the iPhone 12 Mini. It is also expected that the company will announce a 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, making it the biggest iPhone launched so far. We were also expecting 120Hz displays, but recent reports say that, after all, the iPhone 12 will not get 120Hz displays.
In addition, all iPhone 12 models are supposed to have 5G connectivity, but reports say that mmWave 5G will only be supported by the iPhone 12 Pro Max, while the others will only support sub-6GHz 5G networks.
Obviously, at the launch event itself, all of these items will be disclosed. The launch is scheduled for October 13, 10:30pm IST, as I have mentioned before, and you will be able to watch it on Apple.com. Plus, we will report the event to ensure that you check back with all the news from Apple’s October event on the day of the event.
