Kuwait buys Turkish Bayraktar TB2 attack drones worth 7 million

While Baykar is testing the Bayraktar TB2 with new missiles, the popularity of the unmanned aerial vehicle is only growing. Kuwait is in line for Turkish attack drones.

What is known

Demand for the Bayraktar TB2 has skyrocketed following the successful use of attack drones in Ukraine, Libya and Syria. Kuwait has already become the 28th country to be armed with the drones of the Turkish company.

The deal amounted to $367 million, but the number of unmanned aerial systems ordered is not specified at the moment. The fleet from Bayraktar TB2 will be able to support the naval and coast guard forces, as well as control the country’s sea and land borders. This was stated by the commander of operations of the Kuwait Air Force, General Fahad Al-Dosari (Fahad Al-Dosari).

The Bayraktar TB2 can carry laser-guided light bombs. The maximum flight time is 27 hours. By the way, this record was set in 2019 during the testing of an unmanned aerial vehicle just in Kuwait.
