Samsung has announced the launch in India of the Galaxy Tab A7, its latest mid-range tablet. At the company’s ‘Life Unstoppable’ virtual case, the gadget was originally unveiled earlier this month, where it also revealed a range of other items, including the Galaxy A42 5G mobile, the Galaxy Fit2 smart band, and even a 4K projector called’ The Premiere.’

A 10.4-inch WUXGA+ (2,000 x 1,200) screen and an 80% screen-to – body ratio are shipped with the Galaxy Tab A7. On the back, it has a metallic finish and sports a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 SoC, paired with 3 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of microSD card support for 32 GB of internal storage. It comes with an 8MP camera on the back and a front camera with a 5MP camera. The unit also sports an adaptive fast-charging 7,040mAh battery.

The Galaxy Tab A7 comes with preinstalled Netflix and Spotify on the app side of things. Users also get free YouTube Premium subscriptions for two months. Auto HotSpot and Fast Share are other notable features that the company claims would boost the ‘multi-device experience’. Samsung’s proprietary security platform, Knox, also comes with the phone. It provides facial recognition and runs One UI 2.5 out-of-the-box on Android 10.

Price and Availability of Galaxy Tab A7 (2020)

For the Wi-Fi-only edition, the Galaxy Tab A7 was priced starting at Rs. 17,999, while the LTE version comes with a heftier Rs. 21,999 price-tag. The new tablet is sold by Samsung in three colours: dark grey, silver and gold.

As well as select offline retail stores and leading online portals, pre-booking begins today at the company’s official web store in India.

The business has lined up different pre-booking deals on the unit, as well as discounted accessories, such as a Rs. 4,499 keyboard cover for Rs. 1,875. Users of ICICI credit and debit cards are also entitled to earn an extra cashback of up to Rs. 2,000.
