
Sony has introduced the second generation of the camera for recording vlogs. The novelty is called Sony ZV-1 II.
What is known
The camera is equipped with a 20.1 MP Exmor RS 1.0 sensor. The image sensor is connected to the new ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T*18-50mm lens, which has an f/1.8-4 aperture. The model also received a BIONZ X image processor. For comparison, the Sony ZV-1 is equipped with a 24-70 mm lens with an aperture of f / 1.8-2.8.
The Sony ZV-1 II can shoot low-noise video in low light. The ISO sensitivity range is from 125 to 12800. S&Q Shoot Mode allows you to change the speed of the video from 5x slow down to 60x faster. There is no optical stabilization.
The camera received support for Cinematic Vlog Setting. In this mode, video is shot at a frame rate of 24 FPS and an aspect ratio of 2.35 to 1. ZV-1 II connects to a smartphone using a USB cable. In this operating mode, the device can be used as a webcam.
Price and when to expect
The manufacturer’s recommended price for the Sony ZV-1 II was $900. The start of sales of the camera is scheduled for June 2023.
