GoPro has launched its Hero 9 Black, the flagship action camera for 2020. The system comes with a sensor of 23.6MP and provides 5K video recording. It also carries a larger battery and, relative to its predecessors, has better stabilisation. A range of available mods, including an ultra-wide Max Lens Mod, Light Mod, Monitor Mod, and Media Mod, also come with Hero 9 Black.
GoPro Hero 9 Black: Features and Specs
There is a 23.6MP sensor on the GoPro Hero 9 capable of shooting 5K images. GoPro has also introduced a new front colour monitor in a change specifically aimed at vloggers that offers a live preview for easy framing.
As for the rear touchscreen monitor, the touch zoom version is now a ‘new and improved’ version that provides simple and intuitive control. It also has a built-in flip-out mount on the rim, like its predecessor, allowing users to attach a large array of accessories.
Other noteworthy features include ‘Hindsight’ that records a video 30 seconds before the shutter button is pressed to begin recording. It’s sort of like the ‘Live Picture’ feature on iPhones, except it’s a much stronger understanding of it. As part of a ‘Webcam Mode’ and HyperSmooth image stabilisation for videos too, the Hero 9 Black comes with 1080p live streaming. It is up to 10 metres waterproof, too.
