Guerrilla Games Game Director, Mathijs de Jonge, spoke about the power of the PlayStation 5, which the studio uses to create the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores add-on.
What else is known
The development of the add-on exclusively for PlayStation 5 allowed the studio to make the post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles more detailed, create stunning landscapes and add a large number of different game activities.
Matijs also mentioned the mysterious battle in the game, which requires a lot of processing power, and this was realized thanks to the PS5 hardware.
For those who are not in the know
A feature of the add-on will be that a significant part of Aloy will spend flying on the Sunwing, a machine that resembles a pterodactyl. In the previous part, 95% of the gameplay was available to us only by land transport, but here we will get a completely new gaming experience.
When to expect
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is set to release on April 19th. Exclusive to PlayStation 5.
