The Turkish company Roketsan has shared a video of the test of the TAYFUN short-range ballistic missile. It can hit targets at a distance of more than 500 km, but this is not the limit.
What is known
As part of the first test launch, which took place last fall, the rocket flew 561 km in 458 seconds. However, Roketsan will increase TAYFUN’s range to 1000 km. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced this at the end of last year.
During the first test run, TAYFUN successfully hit the target. The fact that the ballistic missile flew 561 km in 458 seconds means that the flight speed is more than 1.22 km/s or approximately 4400 km/h (Mach 3.56). There is no more information about TAYFUN.
